The Michigan Finance and Mathematics Society is committed to developing undergraduate quantitative talent. We strive to provide the best platform for devoted students to apply their unique skill sets to financial analysis under a real world pretense, and work to ensure each student is prepared for the challenges of their professional goals.

The Michigan Finance and Mathematics Society has constructed a strict, multifaceted educational curriculum to aid the financial development of its members. The program engages members in two primary activities – educational sessions and hypothesis-driven research groups.

Through research groups and trading challenges, the Michigan Finance and Mathematics Society provides its members with hands-on quantitative finance experience that allows them to develop skills specific to their intended careers in quantitative finance.

During weekly club-wide meetings and during research group breakout sessions members are prepared for the quantitative challenges they will face during interviews and in the worldplace. The Michigan Finance and Mathematics Society also offers resume building workshops, LinkedIn critiques, and mentor-mentee relationships with experienced older classmates who have spent time in the quantitative finance industry.
